Well, she is not just MY inspiration, she is an inspiration to many.
The inspiration I am talking about is Little Miss Ella.
Today, she and her family will be celebrating her fourth birthday. It will be a start to a new year of her life, a new year of possibilities, and a year in which we will ALL see God work in ways we never knew were possible. In my heart, I truly believe it. Tonight, Ella will blow out the candles on her birthday cake, and for now, the thought of making wishes for the year to come, will probably not cross her mind. So, until she can make those wishes for herself, I have a few I'd like to make for her.
I wish for this to be.......
A Year of Discovery
A year for her to be able to truly enjoy the beautiful things in her life. The sun on her face, the colors of the rainbow, and the beauty of the little girl she sees in the mirror.
A Year of Peace
A year for her to face new situations or people without as much fear or uncertainty. May she know that God and His angels are with her at these moments and may they hold her little hands for comfort when we can not.
A Year of Accomplishments
A year in which her mind will be filled with new words and phrases. May she be able to use these words to articulate the things that are on her mind and in her heart to those around her. May she be able to tell the people in her life how much she loves them and truly understand what that means.
and finally,
I wish for this to be.......

I wish more than anything for her to wake each morning and go to bed each night knowing, truly knowing, that her family and the many others around her love her, support her, and want the best for her. May the start of this new year of her life and the walk that will take place on April 18, help to light a spark in Ella that will last not only this year, but for many years to come.
Ella,
You are doing so much to inspire and to open the hearts and minds of the people around you.
You are a beautiful, precious inspiration to me and all those on the Walking for Ella team.
