I remember when I was a little girl, there was a young married couple that I took up with. Especially the woman. They were friends of the family and for some reason, I just had a special bond with them. I wanted to sit with them at church and was always wanting to be right with them, giving them lots of hugs. Some days, I still feel like that young little girl; however, those days are fading fast! I am now a grown up married woman myself, and I now have a little girl who is my special buddy. As a matter of fact, I call her my birthday buddy. Miss Zoe was born on March 7, 2001 to some very special friends of mine. As she has gotten older, it has become quite a big deal for us to share such a special day. I feel quite honored that God would choose me to share March 7 with someone so special and wonderful.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending some time with my Birthday Buddy. She and I are both alike in that, every once in a while, we need a good laugh and something to make us feel special. So , we, along with our other sidekicks, Alex, Blake and Conner went to see a movie. We loaded our backpack up with M&M's, Skittles, Twix, and the ever popular fish crackers, and headed to the movies. Boy, what a great time!!! We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. Those laughs we needed?.... Well, we got them BIG time!! It was nice to see such a beautiful smile on my birthday buddy's face. As obnoxious as I may be with it sometimes, thank God that I always have my camera handy to capture these special little moments with such special little people. Thank you Zoe, my special Birthday Buddy, for spending the day with me and my family. We will have to do it again soon.
