Walking for Ella

This little face is the reason I am writing today.

This little face is the reason we will walk on April 19

With our lives being so hectic, and the autism walk still a little over two months away,
it's easy to forget about what a great thing you have signed up to be a part of,
and what purpose it serves.

I assure you, I am just as guilty.
One thing serves as my reminder.....
a little girl named
Ella
Every time I see her face, I know we have to make this walk a priority for her AND her family.
Don't forget our PURPOSE-
To come together to show Dan, Angie, Ella, & the rest of their family our support.
We told them through a dvd a few months ago that we support them.
On April 19, 2008, we will make the PURPOSE of all this visible
when we all join together to show our support by
"Walking for Ella."
That is truly when we put the words that we held up in that video into ACTION!
I have extended the deadline for turning in registration/sponsorship paperwork from
February 1 to March 1.
This gives you another month to spread the word about the walk...
to tell another person about a great little girl named Ella....
and another month to work towards raising some awareness about autism.
Still need to register?
You can do so by simply clicking on the link below
or
you can print your registration packet by clicking http://www.autismresourceconnection.com/documents/5KRunWalkRegistration.pdf

.
I am working towards getting t-shirts for our team.
If you are interested in purchasing a shirt for you or members of your family,
please let me know as soon as possible.
I need to get this information together quickly to ensure we have them ready for the walk.
.
.
Last but not least,
I want to let you know that what you are doing for Ella is contagious,
and that it brings awareness that you can't even imagine.
My niece, Mollie, is a freshman at Austin Peay.
She was talking to her friend, Megan, about Ella and the walk we are participating in for her.
Miss Megan Jones of Cunningham, Tn., does not know Ella,
does not know me,
but was touched by her story and over the period of several weeks
put change and dollars in an envelope until she had raised around thirty dollars.
She then passed it on to my niece to give to me as a donation.
See, When you care about others, and want to make a difference for someone....
IT IS CONTAGIOUS!!!
If you have any questions feel free to call me or email me
Until next time
