The Ultimate Sacrifice

If you know me, you know that I love photography.
There are many reasons why....
One of them being the emotion that can
be felt in a truly wonderful photograph.

For the most part this week,
my blog has been a somber one for good reason.
Today, will be no different.

While visiting one of my favorite photography websites,
I was lead to a photography blog I hadn't visited before.
I was once again reminded of why I love photography so much.

A photographer by the name of
Matt Nicolosi
was asked to photograph
the funeral of a U.S. soldier who
gave the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq
on
March 12, 2008.
He did an absolutely amazing job
and
even went so far as to make a slideshow for the family.
The moments he captured
are real,
they are raw,
they are reminders to us
of what all of us take for granted.
