Walking for Ella - 1 month to go!

Can you believe we are down to one month, whew, I can!!

Things are a little busy at my house, but it is all for a great cause!

I wanted to give you a heads up about a couple of things.

First of all,

I want to let you know the look of the t-shirt

has changed a little but I think it looks great!
It has been hard getting businesses to get back

with me about a price; however, I have

finally been able to narrow it down

I need the money for the shirts as soon as possible,

I will be have to pay for these 80 t-shirts myself when ordering,

so the quicker I receive your payment the better.

We have two 15 passenger vans from our church

that people have the option to ride.

We have already had some sign up for this

so if you want to take advantage of this

let me know as soon as possible,

it will be on a first come, first serve basis.

If you choose to ride in a caravan or follow someone,

let me know I'm sure I can work that out for you.

I will have directions soon for all of you.

Cindy Wheeler from Beyond the Limits is suppose

to be getting this together for me.

When I get them, I will send them on to you.

I encourage everyone to get into showing your team spirit.

Make a sign for the walk, decorate the glass on your car,

whatever you can do to spread the word.

There is nothing that would raise awareness more

than riding down the interstate with your windows painted

with some phrase about autism.

The opening ceremony for the walk begins at 8:45 a.m.

You will need to check in on arrival with Beyond the Limits

and retrieve your bag from them.

I would like for all of us to meet up at the park by 8:30 a.m.

Look around for a sign being held with our team name and Ella's picture on it

That is where we will all meet up.

If you have not been given your team tshirt,

I will distribute it to you at that time.

Whew!

now that I have finished with all the technical stuff,

it's time for a little pep rally, or as Angie calls it, my sermon!

Autism is a GIANT in today's soceity,

it is a GIANT in the life of the families who it attacks.

The many who read that autism affects

1 in 150 children

may view overcoming this GIANT impossible.

After all, the future is a mystery, it can not be seen or predicted,

the road traveled is a hard one,

many if not all families affected face days where they want to quit,

BUT THEY DON'T

One month from now, all of us will come together to show support

for a family fighting against the autism GIANT.

We will face three miles.

Three miles may seem like alot to most of us.

There may be a few moments where you may wonder if

you will ever reach the last few inches to the finish line.

At those moments, I hope you hear the words from the clip below,

and that you remind yourself that

Ella and her family are in a much tougher battle everyday

Dan, Angie, Zoe, Jed they do not and will not quit

because of their love for her

We WILL NOT quit because of our love for THEM!

one last thought,

Many of us come from different places, with different connections to Ella and her family,

However, we all come together because we love one special little girl
