Ok,
yes, I know it's just four year old t-ball
but I am very proud none the less.
********
After making some great plays in his game last week,
we thought Conner might have gotten the game ball.
I was so worried,
the one night I didn't lug my camera bag to the ball field
and we thought for sure he would get the game ball.
What, it didn't happen??!!
He was oblivious, so we figured we wouldn't worry about it either.
********
This week I showed up, camera in tow.
Despite the fact that he spent half the game in the dirt,
(at one time he had his head bent so far down looking at the dirt,
that he actually wound up doing a sommersault,
after which he decided to leave the pitcher's mound
to come and tell me he had a boo-boo!)
Conner actually did have a pretty good game.
He got a couple of outs and was a real go getter tonight.
Well. when his head was out of the dirt that is!
********
What do you know, tonight was the night.
I had thought about what pictures I would like to get and was ready to go.
I didn't think about the fact that I was wearing my high heeled sandals.
The same high-heeled sandals that I have about broken my neck in recently.
So, instead of me running to get the pictures, I sent Jimmy.
I figured I would rather not embarrass myself and my other children
by falling on my fanny in front of a hundred people
So I get not what I planned, but I do get a picture,
of one happy little boy, which makes me one proud momma!
********

I tried to get a couple more when I got home
but he was really done with the whole picture thing.

How can you not love a face like that?!!!
