and I am proof of it!
I have always said that my strong willed childhood
would have some benefit for me
if only my parents would have known it at the time!!!
Ok...
so I am not completely up and running the way I should be
but do you see photos below or do you see photos?!!!!
I planned to put these up a few weeks ago
prior to my blog vacation
but as we say in the Conwell house......
"Better Late than Never!"
~~~
Just a few from Mr.B's 10th birthday....
we didn't do anything fancy this year...but we had to include one of his favorite things...
the Chicago Cubs!!!
not a big crew this year...
just his family and a couple of little buddies.
I will enjoy this small affair, I have a feeling next year could be quite a bit different!
Teresa, our lifesaver, made and decorated the cake for us in a matter of a couple of hours
when the original decorator fell through at the last minute!!
She was unhappy with the rushed result,
but we were thrilled & thankful she offered to help.
Thanks again, Teresa!
Blake was thrilled with all of the money he received
Instead of being his usual frugal self,
he used his money this time for more SPY toys.
In other words,
he used it to buy something he knew would aggravate his sister!!
Just Blake with a couple of people he loves immensly
Aunt Gay
otherwise known as "Grandma Millie's Stand In"
& Uncle Frank.
They may be his great aunt & uncle,
but the love they show him and the rest of our crew,
makes them love them as if they truly were their grandparents.
In fact, they get called Grandma and Papaw often!
Grandma Conwell holds a special place in the heart of this fella
and there is no question...
that the feeling is mutual.
Blake loves nothing more than to spend a day or two...
well, right now, it has been FOUR
with her, helping her do little projects, finding old coins to look at,
watching tv, reading books, helping her cook dinner...
he enjoys every minute of it.
last...
but certainly not least...
Blake with Aunt Kathy.
Not only Blake but everyone of our kids
love their Aunt Kathy.
She is so energetic and fun
and they enjoy every minute they have with her.
Blake was thrilled to have her there as were we all.
~~~
You would think by now that I would make it a priority to get a photo with
the birthday child and their parents.
Believe it or not...
it ALWAYS slips my mind.
Hence, the need for the 52 wk. blog
which has been seriously neglected;
however, we are soon going to be up and at it again!
Stay tuned!
