Five Years Ago....

I met the sweetest little man.
He's had my heart ever since
I first laid eyes on him.
My heart isn't the only one he's captured,
he has his daddy's...

and pretty much everyone
who's around him.
I already miss year number 4....
He is changing each day
but one thing's for sure
He is EVERYTHING boy...
that's part of why we love him so.
He is so-o mischeivous...so, so charming...
such a sweetheart... such a trouble finder...
such a caring fella...
such a CON!!
~~~~~
There's just something about this boy of mine.
He turned five yesterday.
Five...
wow, it's seems like we were just
bringing him home from the hospital
a new baby after five long years.
He brings such joy, such laughter, such love
into our home.
So what was year "4" all about...
~~~~~
His favorite foods...
chicken legs, chicken nuggets, applesauce,
skittles (is that technically a food?!)
spaghetti and CHIPS, of any kind!
Not exactly nutritious but he is eating none the less!
His favorite shows...
SuperWhy...Spiderman and his amazing friends...
Handy Manny...Word Girl...Max and Ruby...Diego...and...
believe it or not...
Iron Chef...he thinks he's Bobby Flay!
~~~~~
His favorite things to do...
Ride his bike...
Play with his Hot Wheels cars...
make planes or houses with his blocks...
play football...hockey...baseball
pretty much anything sports related...
Read books, but he hated to color
play with his brothers and sister.
play with his army men...
~~~~~
Big moments of Year "4"...
Playing baseball for the first time...
Learning to sound out and
read a few three letter words...
Counting by 10's to 100...
~~~~~
and then there were the moments
we as parents could've lived without
but then...
He wouldn't be Conner!
Putting popcorn kernels up his nose...
and then there was the chewing gum up the nose...
and then there was...
the ride he took in the dryer....
those stories are endless!!!
I could go on and on,
but you've all read them before here.
In spite of the popcorn in the nose...
or the dings in the wall...
this little man
just oozes love...
and personality
just ask anyone who knows him.
Here are a few photos we took
about a week ago.
The day was rainy and overcast at times.
We had to try a couple of times throughout the day
to get them.
Through the cloudiness of the day
he still shines...
he still oozes...
Love.
Year number
"5"
has lots of new things
in store for you litle buddy.
Know that whether it be kindergarten
or football or whatever the Lord
puts in your path in the next year
that Mommy and Daddy
will be there.
Loving you...
Cheering you on...
and
Thanking God
that it was you...
that God blessed us with
five short years ago.
We love you, buddy!
  2. Michelle~ He is absolutely precious! You certainly captured his personality in these pictures. He reminds me a lot of my little Jack. Enjoy this birthday week with him. As you already know, it goes by so fast. Children are definitely a Gift from God.
