Party time...

ok, well, it WAS party time
Let's just say last weekend
is was full of activity.
Conner's birthday party
was the start of it.
Kung-Fu Panda
was the request.
So...
We tried our best
to give him his wish.

Not sure what this look is about.

The boys table.
He didn't spend much time there....

because of the new bike.
He found it too early, but hey, it was his day...
he could do whatever he wanted!

After much deliberation
he finally decided on which Kung-Fu Panda mask to wear...

it figures it was the bad guy....
or should I say cat!

Aunt Kathy
you were such a great help.
Thank you so much.

His buddy from football practices
Mr. Payden.
Is he cute or what?

Conner trying to figure out the chopsticks.
We had some chinese accessories to help keep
the kung fu theme going.

Grandma broke open her fortune cookie
to see what good fortune
is coming her way.

looks like it was some love from
the birthday boy himself.

He was generous with his love that day.

Nana was able to get some too.

Alex and a couple of her cheerleading sidekicks
preparing for the cheer competition the next day.
More details on that to come later!

We put the chopsticks to good use

with a chopstick race.

He decided to throw the rules out the window
and make a run for it.

Some of the big girls decided to get in on the action.

Carson, as usual, decided to follow his brother's lead
and run for it!

We had one more game.
Key the Kung- Fu Fighting music....
"Everybody was....
Kung-Fu Fighting"
sing it with me now!!!

"Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning"

"But they fought with expert timing!"

Conner...

the mighty warrior...

could hardly bear
our
"Happy Birthday"
serenade.

He had a great time.
We lost our mind while birthday shopping
and actually decided it was a
smart thing to purchase him toy nun-chucks.
This photo shows that it didn't take long to realize
it was not a smart thing to do.
He and Payden used them to bust open a can of coke!
Who knew?!!!

Someone else very special
celebrated a birthday today.
I hope to share more of that
with you later today.
Until then....
