Family....

that small little word
says so much.
Family
is there when all the world
feels as if it is falling in around you...
sometimes it is the cause.

*****

Family
knows who you really are...
whether it be you at your best or you at your worst.
Yet, they still love you.

*****

Family
is always there
when the days are full of rain...
they stand there...holding out the umbrella
until the sun shines again.

*****

My dear friend, Wendy, knows about "Family"
and what it means to have one...
Just look at the pictures below and
you will see she is truly blessed.
Wendy,
here's a little reminder
of the fact that regardless
of the rain or clouds that come your way,
you always have your umbrella,
your family....
and that in the end...
the sun eventually ALWAYS shines again.

*****

I hope that these photos
are worth you all bearing the freezing temperatures
to get them.

Wendy & Her Other Half...
over a decade together and still going strong.

Wendy
and
her family...
vintage style

Miss Kara...
who turns "12" today.
Happy Birthday!!!

Little Miss Abigayle...
otherwise known as "Abbie",
the baby of the bunch.

Mr. Zack...
the big freshman...
you were such a good sport,
and I really appreciated it...
I know Wendy did too.

We girls headed to the barn
for some more photos...
while the guys warmed up in the car.

A quick snap of Wendy & her girls.

This baby girl
loves her mommy!

We braved the cold one more time
and made our way to one more place
on the family farm.

You would never know by looking at this picture
that these three had taken turns standing out in the 30' degree temps.
for over an hour.

However,
the photographer, on the other hand,
was starting to lose the ability
to move her trigger finger because of frost bite...
so these last few were taken very quickly!

One last photo....
I think this one is hilarious.
I wanted to try an idea for a photo I had seen.
At his point everyone was frozen and tired of sitting still,
So, I told them to do whatever they wanted to...
I should've obviously given more direction...
look at Wendy and Chris's facial expressions!!

This post has been all about "Family"...
that last photo couldn't provide a better example of the word!
