Capturing the Beauty

Today, I broke out my old lens.
Taking pictures of different subjects for a change
I didn't use the tripod like I should've, however;
I think most of the images turned out the way I wanted them to.

I love to take pictures.
To be able to capture the true beauty in something or someone
is fulfilling for me.
I usually tend to focus the camera on my kids,
or any kid that's willing for that matter!
Today, with Blake's help,
I looked to capture the beauty around us in nature.

Photobucket
I love springtime,
the flowers and trees blooming,
truly beautiful and amazing.
What a blessing to have the tools, the ability
to capture the beauty in the world
God has given us.

Worth waiting for

Meet Blake
My second child
You may not recognize him because
it has been so long since he has allowed me
to take pictures of him,
well, take pictures without a fight that is.
I think that these were worth waiting for.

He has just returned from a two day visit to his Grandma's house.

Photobucket

After being away so long, and after much spoiling by Grandma, I thought that he might need a little reminder of how much he loves "yours truly"!

Photobucket

A little shameless self-promotion on mom's behalf, but you know what they say, desperate times call for desperate measures!

Photobucket

Isn't he handsome?!

Photobucket

Not playing baseball, but still in love with the hat & gloves, or should I say glove, we are missing the match at the moment.

Photobucket

Yes, he still knows how to work those brown eyes on mom, but Grandma is like putty in his hands when he uses them on her!

Photobucket

He wears this with a smile now, I hate to tell him that I have this same shirt in a size XL so that he can wear it when he is twenty-one!

Waiting...

Waiting...

To me this picture epitomizes Carson right now.
Carson is so small, but so eager to play with the big boys...to learn about the things life has to offer...to grow into a little boy.

For now he is waiting.

In my heart, I wish that the wait will be a long one.
I am watching time pass too quickly
with his brothers and sister.

If only I had a pocketful of wishes,
one would be that he would and could wait
a lifetime to grow up.
That isn't to be,
so I sit here
Waiting

for another day,
making another wish.

Memories of a Lifetime

I was asked this past weekend to take a few shapshots of my niece and her boyfriend before they headed to their senior prom. Ashley is a beautiful girl, both inside and out, so you would think it would be a piece of cake. However, lets just say that I was a wee bit nervous once I realized that they weren't only ones that would be there. Looking back, I wish that I would've gotten some different shots, but I hope that with what I was able to get, that I did capture some moments, some memories that will last a lifetime.

Introducing.....

Andrew & Ashley

Congratulations Guys!

My Girl

Photobucket

Photobucket

Just a few photos of my beautiful daughter.
She is transitioning from a sweet little girl,
into a beautiful and even sweeter young woman.

Photobucket

The next few years will bring a lot of changes for her.

I pray that the God will help her see herself the way others see her.
I pray that she will learn to live her life being proud of who God made her
and that she will only allow friends in her life that build her up, not tear her down.
I pray that she cherishes every moment of her childhood, because it is gone all too fast,
Most of all,
I pray that she learns from all the mistakes that I have made
and that she realizes and never forgets,
how special and unique God made her.
and be proud of it.
